Where these games come from
payantha is a YouTube Shorts channel of small physics simulations that play music. A ball bounces inside a ring, a thousand rays of light bounce inside a bowl, balls get stuck on spikes, and every single collision plays one note of a famous melody. The comments turn into a guessing game: people race to name the song before the ring breaks.
This site is the playable side of those videos. In the videos you can only watch; here you choose the answer, keep a streak and try to beat your own best score. Each game is built on the same ideas as the videos: a ball that obeys gravity, walls that reflect it like a mirror, and a melody that only moves forward when something actually hits something.
Only public-domain music
Every melody in these games was published long ago and its composer died long ago, so it belongs to everyone. We don't use recordings: your browser plays each note with a small synthesizer we wrote. You can check every song, its composer and its year on the music and copyright page.
